Coupled with falling birth rates, Japan has been facing significant aging of its population in recent years, and this trend is expected to further accelerate in the future. Based on such demographics, cultivating the talents and skills of youth becomes a high priority.
Meanwhile, in many developing countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa or other regions, the youth population is growing. Yet, only a small number of youth can embrace an opportunity to study abroad in countries like Japan to pursue higher education, and their financial base is inadequate to sustain their stay overseas.
In light of the current situations facing both Japan and developing countries, and in realizing the necessity of the enhancement of mutual benefits, we have come to a decision to establish a foundation designed to serve these purposes. Our mission is to provide scholarships to foreign students from Asia, the Middle East, Africa or other regions, who strive to pursue their academic study in the areas of Medicine, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Physical Education or Business Administration (MBA) at universities or graduate schools in our country.
Our prime objectives are to provide financial support to talented foreign students from Asia, the Middle East, Africa or other regions, who demonstrate outstanding dedication to their academic study in the areas of Medicine, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Physical Education or Business Administration at universities or graduate schools in Japan. Through this program, by nourishing the talents of individuals who, in the future, will play a key role in developing deeper cross-cultural understanding and building amicable relationships between Japan and their home countries, we help promote the advancement of academic studies, culture, education, as well as the development of valuable international relations amongst us all.
